My first project in this year at University, was a Trend project in collaboration with Global Colour Research (recently re-branded Colour Hive). Global Colour Research is a trend forecasting agency, which focuses on colour and materiality for Interiors. I was selected to interpret the trend Play. Play is bright, fun with its origins and inspirations from a variety of sources including the Memphis Movement and Meccano. Last week Birmingham City University exhibited a range of designs from all the Level 6 Textile design students at the January Furniture Show at the NEC, the university collaborated with several companies to create this stand including, Brintons Carpets and Tektura Wall coverings. It was lovely to see my work, and the work of my peers at the show, it was a lot of fun and made me really proud. The images to the left are a few from the show.
